OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIt’s eight-thirty in the morning. The writer sits at her computer and pounds the keyboard with fingers that miraculously type out words, seemingly coming from the author’s brain. She quickly reads what she wrote to see if the sentence makes sense; it does. However, she wonders if anyone would be interested in reading what she wrote.

The answer to the above question is of course, yes; there are people who will not only read what she wrote, but who also need to receive the message, no matter how cryptic it may be! The reader will be able to decipher the text and gain the insight they need to hear at that given moment.

How often have you read a book for a second or third time only to glean a deeper sense or different meaning to a certain passage? Perhaps this has happened to you while watching a movie for yet another time. Your mind can take in a vast amount of information; however, it can only bring forth a few details at a time.

How often have you recalled an excerpt from a book that answered a specific question or related to a topic you may be writing about? You may not remember the exact words, but you know where to look. Your writing may have this same effect on your readers. They know they read or heard your astounding words of vision and insight and will return to your book or website to locate the wisdom once again.

While learning the ins and outs of becoming a desktop publisher, one instructor’s single thought has stayed with me throughout the years:

You don’t need to remember everything about this program; you simply just need to remember what can be done and where to find the “how-to.”

Isn’t that the answer to all questions of life overall?

What how-to’s do you reference? Please share them below.

To your success,
